Growers – Hancock Nursery

Dear Grower:

In mid-September, we will be opening Hancock Nursery at 20908 N. Main in Cornelius (in the new roundabout). It is our hope to give local growers an opportunity to sell their plants and related items. I am hoping you will want to take advantage of this opportunity by offering some of your plants for sale. While the details are subject to change as we get further into this experiment, here’s the way it will work for now:

We might want to buy some of your plants outright and negotiate a reduced price so that we can re-sell them at a profit. You would be expected to deliver the order to us and you would be paid in cash or Venmo if you wish.
We might also want you to offer some plants on consignment for a period of at least 2 weeks. If they have not sold during that time, you would pick them up and perhaps substitute others to see if there is a demand for them.
All plants delivered to us (for sale or consignment) would be required to have on the pot a sticker with the variety and the vendor number we assign to you for recordkeeping and a receipt for our records.
You are obligated to inform us of any contamination or disease you find in your growing environment and pick up any plants suspected of exposure.
